Faculty Member, Political Science
Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair
About
Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Political Ecology and Environmental Political Theory, in the Department of Political Science at Acadia University. I am also a core faculty member for Acadia's Environmental and Sustainability Studies (ESST) program, and coordinator of the MA program in Social and Political Thought.
My work is in the areas of critical political theory, environmental politics (esp. water issues), political economy, and cultural studies. I'm particularly interested in where and how these areas intersect.
The two main projects I'm working on right now are an edited book, tentatively titled "Critical Ecologies: The Frankfurt School and Contemporary Environmental Crises," and a project on the discursive construction of water scarcity.
I'm also the co-editor (with Stephanie Ross) of the "Alternatives" section of the journal Studies in Political Economy.
